My Go To Green Smoothie

A simple green smoothie that comes together in minutes.

This is one of my favorite green smoothies. It’s packed with nutrients, comes together in less than 2 minutes and is a great “starter” green smoothie for those who are wary of drinking green things!

“Colorful phytonutrients in plants like spinach and pineapple repair cells, nourish the gut lining and provide nutrients that act as building blocks for the immune system.”

Don’t you hate when food blogs have pages of stories before they actually tell you the recipe??? I do too! So here it is:

My Go-To Green Smoothie

Ingredients:

1 cup water

1 cup fresh spinach

1/2 banana

1/2 cup frozen mango

1/2 cup frozen pineapple

Directions:

  1. Blend water and fresh spinach together first. While I’d love to have a Vitamix, I’m not that cool yet so I do this in a nutribullet and it works just great.

  2. Next add the remaining fruit and blend until smooth. If your blender starts getting stuck you may need a bit more water.

  3. Feeling adventurous or under the weather? Add a bit of fresh parsley.
